Where impact kills
Energy-dissipation technologies, across many sectors, are obsolete. HEROES designs the architecture on which manufacturers will build what comes next.
One example: the helmet, which has run out of room to improve. Between 2023 and 2027 four independent authorities — motorcycle, bicycle, American football, and in July 2026 NASA — set a limit, for the first time, on how fast the head can be forced into rotation by an impact. Manufacturers have a deadline. They do not have an answer yet.
